介词on的用法和所有介词的用法一样，后面跟名词。on something，表示在什么什么之上。介词本身就表示方位，on是特别典型的，在什么什么上面这样一个方位。

1、on表示时间：比如在今天的上午，或者下午等，用于星期，日期等前面。
2、on表示地点：在.....旁，靠近，接近的意思。比如：在我左边或者右面，在临街，在临桌等。
3、表示状态:意思是从事....... 处于......... 在......情况中等。
4、表示在物体的上面。意思为在......之上。比如在盒子上。
